In December, I went to Brighton. A very nice place, but too cold for me. Seeking warmth I found that in the Brighton Museum, there was a free exhibition of Indian Miniature Painting.
So I went in and found the most amazing illustrations, with tiny intricate details, which looked like they had been done with a brush that contains one hair.
The compositions were so beautiful, so different from Occidental design, not only for the narrative on nature and animals, but especially on the detail.
At the exhibition they gave out magnifing glasses to see and appreciate these absolutely gorgeous illustrations.
The Brighton exhibition is over now, but luckily for you, its still on in London at the Dulwich Picture Gallery.
If you are into illustration, try to go.
